D.C.M. Mechanical Ltd. incorporated in Calgary in 1993.

With a wife and 5 children, starting this company was a leap of faith, a dream that became my reality. With nominal funds from a 2nd mortgage D.C.M. was “born”. With over 20 years in operation serving Calgary and southern Alberta, we feel it would be prudent to reintroduce ourselves, our people and what we have accomplished these past years.

I have been in this industry for over 45 years now, working in many aspects of the mechanical trade, including 7 years in the commercial/industrial industry on various projects throughout Western Canada. I moved to Calgary in 1979 and worked for a couple of companies as Foreman/Superintendent, one of my projects included the New City Hall, for which I was superintendent. I worked for two other mechanical companies and in 1993 I made the decision to “go out on my own”. I remember those gruelling days working on the tools during the day and back to the office at night to complete estimating and paper work for future projects and to further the D.C.M. name. I am happy to say that now we are a healthy, well established mechanical firm completing projects as simple as installing a washroom in a tenant space to multi-million dollar commercial projects. My journey has been an exciting and rewarding experience.

I would like to give special thanks to my wife and friend, Sharon. Her undying belief and support for me these past 45 years helped make my dream a reality. The challenges we faced in the early years raising 5 children on limited financial resources and countless hours away from the home developing the company was met by Sharon with understanding and support that I can say is one of the corner stone’s of D.C.M. Mechanical Ltd.

Throughout my journey there were, and still are many mentors from various disciplines in the industry who took the time to “guide” me through the workings and business protocols of the construction industry. To them, I give my heartfelt gratitude and thanks. Thank you to the many construction companies we have worked with over these past 20+ years and I look forward to continued relationships in the future. D.C.M. Mechanical will continue to strive and maintain our high standards and be at our best for all your construction requirements while maintaining client satisfactions.

The staff at D.C.M. Mechanical are in my opinion some of the best tradesman in the industry. With strong values, strong work ethic, a hunger for knowledge and a desire for customer satisfaction. These are the people who represent and maintain D.C.M. Mechanical at its best.
